Why am I not losing weight?

Do you eat what your diet says, exercise and think you're doing everything right? However, after the first few kilos lost in the beginning, do you inevitably reach the dreaded stagnation plateau? Why am I not losing weight?

In theory, weight loss should be easy. I'm sure you've followed the recommendations, cut calories, organized, made commitments, gritted your teeth and still haven't gotten rid of the extra pounds. Well, this is really frustrating!

Do not give up! Because below you will find out what are the first three most important steps by which you can unlock the metabolism of burning excess body fat.

Losing weight takes sustained effort, but the rewards are worth it!

What valuable benefits:

  • a healthier heart

  • more energy.

  • when you look in the mirror you like what you see.

Does all this motivate you? Let's see which actions have the biggest impact on your way to your desired weight.

1. Set realistic expectations for your weight loss

To be successful with weight loss, you need to have realistic and healthy expectations and be patient! It is normal not to be able to remove all the extra weight in a week or a month. Think you put on the pounds for years and it wasn't a steady increase, there were plateau periods where the body stayed at a certain weight and then resumed "fat storage". So, you will lose weight at your own pace and it will definitely take some time to lose all the extra pounds you have now.

The science of nutrition warns us that any rapid and massive weight loss in 2-5 days is actually the result of the forced removal of water from the body. Metabolism does not have significant improvements in such a short time, it adjusts in weeks and stabilizes in months - years!

Very often, people with excess weight are impatient and even imagine that they will lose this excess immediately, and if this does not happen, they look for another regime, another diet. It is still possible to be on the right track, you just have to be patient and act for more time.

2. Eat more of what your body needs and less of what it doesn't

All the chemicals (nutrients) your body needs to live and stay healthy come from the outside, from food. When you only eat a few foods because you like them the most, you're actually only getting a portion of the nutrients your body needs.

You actually eat every day and at every meal: meat, dairy, eggs, bread and potatoes. In addition, you add uncontrolled salt and sugar, alcohol and coffee! From these foods, the body receives only a part of the necessary nutrients.

Plant-based foods (green leaves, vegetables, fruits and seeds) are missing from your daily diet too often and are in little or no quantity.

Be confident in the power of natural, clean and seasonal food. Eat often, or more safely, add a "huge" salad to any main meal. This intake can bring you the nutrients your body desperately needs. What's more, it can help you lose weight and maintain optimal health!

3. Eat more often and less

If you don't eat on time, your body will try to make up for the excessive calorie deficit from daily starvation periods, slowing down your metabolism. Let's admit that the contemporary man does not eat enough during the day. Thus, hunger "hides somewhere" and "hurts itself violently" at the food at the dinner table.

It couldn't be more clear than that: your body seeks to compensate for periods of deprivation with stores for "hard times" and forms a protective mechanism by storing a percentage of ... whatever it eats! With such automaticity it is normal to ask yourself "why am I not losing weight?". In fact, everything you do seems to be a struggle with extra pounds.

What you have to do is to unlearn this "specialization" in your body. The only way to do this is to eat on time. In other words, put your body at the table regularly, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and at the same time treat it to snacks with seasonal delicacies. Don't forget that point 2 above can also help you the most. Add a "huge" salad alongside the main meal.

With these three steps you begin a journey that will amaze you with great rewards. Let me repeat that you will have a healthier heart, more energy and when you look in the mirror you like what you see. It's worth the effort!

If you want to continue the journey and benefit from much more fascinating results, you can read the nutrition guide "Health has a waist!". It will support you in the long term to get rid of excess body fat and minimize your body's risks of disease. Or, in other words, you become the owner of a healthy body and an enviable figure!
